Jan Müller
*1986

Jan Müller successfully completed his euphonium studies at the Bern University of the Arts with Thomas Rüedi, receiving a Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy in 2010 and a Master of Arts in Music Performance in 2012.
During this time, he won prizes in numerous competitions. He is a laureate of the Friedl Wald Foundation and the Fritz Gerber Foundation.

As a member of both the Altophonium Quartet and the Swiss Alphorn Trio, Jan is able to move in various musical styles as a chamber musician.

As a founding member of the Molotov Brass Orkestar, Jan realized three CD productions. Their show takes place at festivals, concerts and in clubs with great reception.
The numerous concerts of Molotov Brass Orkestar has led Jan through several European countries.

Jan completed his third master’s degree, the Master of Arts in Music Performance Conducting in 2013, and he did so with distinction. Ludwig Wicki, Rolf Schumacher and Dominique Roggen were among his teachers. He completed his composition and instrumentation studies with Oliver Waespi and Corsin Tuor.
Jan won 2nd prize in the Swiss Conductor Competition 2013 in Baden.
Currently, he conducts the Brass Band Emmental, Brass Band Bernese Oberland and the Junior Music Frohsinn Oberburg. Furthermore, Jan is a frequently desired guest conductor.
