Severin Zoll

Severin Zoll plays anything that has to do with the horn. His primary instrument is the French horn and he also is proficient with the modern natural horn, the Wagner tuba and the alphorn. Sometimes he plays the cow horn or even a watering can.

He plays as a freelance hornist in various orchestras in Switzerland. He is also engaged in chamber music with the woodwind quintet “Zeferino” and with various horn quartets. He is a member of the renowned Swiss Alphorn Trio, with whom he plays the traditional Swiss instrument throughout Switzerland and Europe.
He has familiarized himself with modern jazz music, performing with the Swiss Jazz School Big Band.

Besides his artistic accomplishments Severin Zoll is an avid teacher. He is an instructor at different music schools, where he teaches his main instrument, the French horn, as well as the alphorn.

Severin Zoll completed his studies at the Bern University of the Arts (Switzerland) under Thomas Müller and later under Johannes Otter; obtaining a Masters degree in Music Pedagogy (2011) as well as a Masters degree in Music Performance (2011).
